Jets Advance to Regional Finals with Victory

NOC Enid Claims Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Murray State

NOC Enid took the lead late in the game in a 13-6 victory over Murray State on Saturday. The game was tied at six with NOC Enid batting in the bottom of the seventh when Clayton Peterson homered on a 0-1 count, scoring four runs.

Peterson led NOC Enid to victory by driving in four runs. He went 2-for-4 at the plate. Peterson drove in runs on a grand slam in the seventh.

NOC Enid got things started in the first inning when EJ Taylor singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the sixth inning, Murray State tied things up at six when Elvin Rosa singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

After Murray State scored two runs in the top of the fourth, NOC Enid answered with two of their own. Murray State scored when Rosa doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. NOC Enid then answered when Taylor drew a walk, scoring one run and Wesley O'Neill's sac fly scored one run for NOC Enid.

Cade Fulton was the winning pitcher for NOC Enid. He allowed four hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Alex Clay took the loss for Murray State. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out one.

Billy Wall started the game for Murray State. He surrendered four runs on five hits over three innings Jarrett Sweeney started the game for NOC Enid. He went five innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one

NOC Enid smacked one home run on the day. Peterson put one out in the seventh inning.

NOC Enid saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. O'Neill, Tyler Wood, Peterson, and DJ Calvert each had multiple hits for NOC Enid. Calvert, Peterson, Wood, and O'Neill all had two hits to lead NOC Enid.

Murray State tallied ten hits. Rosa and Hayden Brown all managed multiple hits for Murray State.
