In a battle of top ten teams in NJCAA Division II Baseball, the 6th ranked lost two close home contests to 2nd ranked Parkland (Ill).
Saturday, Parkland held off a late Jets' rally two win 8-7 and then won the Sunday game 8-3.
NOC is now 14-6 on the season.
Friday, the Jets rallied from a 6-2 deficit scoring five runs in the 6th inning. Doubles by Seth Graves, Dylan Caplinger, and Garrett Misenheimer led to the five run uprising.
Parkland then scored two runs in the 7th to earn the 8-7 win.
Kaleb McCullough was the starter for the Jets with relief help from Bryce Gilbert and Jacob Henson.
On Sunday, Parkland jumped out to a 6-0 lead and held off the Jets 8-3.
Seth Graves, EJ Taylor and Dylan Caplinger had two hits each.
Brandon Hudson allowed six runs on six hits.
