Jets open Region 2 play with sweep of Carl Albert

The #14 NOC Enid Jets swept Carl Albert in the Region 2 opening series Wednesday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid.

NOC (22-7) won the first game 5-0 and the night cap 11-1.

Jets 5, Carl Albert 0

Dylan Caplinger and Tanner Neely homered and Kaleb McCullough pitched a two hit shut out as the Jets shut out Carl Albert 5-0.

Neely homered in the 2nd as part of a three run inning while Caplinger's blast came in the 4th inning.  Justin Raspanti added two hits from the designated hitter spot.

McCullough was in control from the outset allowing just two hits and three walks over seven innings.  Mcullough(5-0) struck out six.

Jets 11, Carl Albert 1

The Jets scored six runs in the 7th inning to break open a close game into an 11-1 Jets' win.

Evan Kowalski (4-2) earned the win allowing one run and five hits over six innings.  Lawson Isaacs pitched two perfect innings in relief.

EJ Taylor and Brendon Woelfle both homered while Seth Graves and Dylan Caplinger tripled.

Woelfle had three hits and two runs batted in.  Taylor had three runs batted in and Neely two runs driven home.
