Jets earn split at Murray State

TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma -- The #15 NOC Enid Jets earned a doubleheader split at Murray State with a 12-5 win after losing the first game 13-3.

The Jets (29-12) are 8-4 in Region 2 play, one game behind NOC Tonkawa and three games behind league leading Western.

Murray 13, Jets 3

The Jets fell behind Murray State early and lost 13-3 in Game 1 of Saturday's double header.

Alec Buonasera and Brendon Woelfle had two hits each for the Jets while Clay Lockett and Dylan Caplinger had one run batted in each.

Jarrett Sweeney (5-3) was the starter for the Jets.

In Game 2, the Jets scored six runs in the 4th and three more in the 8th to earn the split with a 12-5 win.

Brendon Woelfle, Matthew Henderson, EJ Taylor, Justin Raspanti, and Shane Nixon had two hits each.  Woelfle homered for the Jets while Taylor had two doubles.

Nixon, Raspanti, and Tanner Neely had two runs batted in each.

Lawson Isaacs (2-0) earned the win out of the Jets' bullpen allowing no earned runs over 3.1 innings.
