The #18 NOC Enid Jets stayed alive in the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament Saturday afternoon with a 9-6 win over #2 Western at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
NOC (35-17) advances in the consolation bracket against the Redlands-Murray State loser at 7 p.m. Saturday night.
DJ Calvert and Garrett Misenheimer had four hits each while EJ Taylor had a two run home run. Misenheimer had three runs batted in while Alec Buonasera had two hits including a double. Calvert had two runs scored.
Stevie Owings (2-1) earned the win in relief of Conner Priest. Owings allowed two runs and five hits over six innings of work.
The Pioneers were eliminated from the region tournament with the loss.
