The NOC Enid Jets are in the NJCAA Division 2 World Series Semi-Finals Wednesday as the Jets face Pasco-Hernando State (FL) at 3:30 p.m. at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
The Jets reached the Final Four with wins over Kellogg (MI) and Pearl River (MS).
Pasco-Hernando State (FL) beat Lackawanna (PA) in the first round then lost to top seeded Pearl River (MS) on Sunday. Pasco-Hernando then scored five runs in the 9th inning to knock out Pearl River (MS) on Tusday gaining revenge over the Wildcats.
Jets guaranteed 3rd
In reaching the semi-finals, the Jets are guaranteed a 3rd place finish in the 2019 NJCAA World Series.
A win Wednesday or Thursday (if the Jets lose Wednesday) would push the Jets into the World Series Final against either Madison (WI) or Mesa (AZ).
The Thursday bracket will be determined after the Wednesday games.
The Jets have reached the semi-finals on two other occasions but have never reached the finals.
