Jets pound Panhandle State 18-3

WOODWARD, Oklahoma --  The NOC Enid Jets hit three home runs in an 18-3 rout of Panhandle State Wednesday afternoon in Woodward.

Alec Buonasera, Logan Rutledge, and Jordan Coffey each hit home runs for the Jets (6-9).

Gage Ninness had three hits for NOC while Buonasera, Coffey, Connor Thaxton, Cale Savage, and Scout Capps had two hits each.

Thaxton had four runs batted in while Coffey added three.

Brandon Hudson, Brandon Eropkin, and Ethan Wayland allowed one earned run on three hits for the Jets.

"Yesterday was a good opportunity for us to get back on the field in get some kinks worked out, thought our pitchers threw well, faced a little bit of adversity and overcame," said coach Scott Mansfield.  "Our hitters had good approaches that the plate and allowed us to get some guys in that needed some at bats and those guys also put together good at bats and showcase on the scoreboard. Looking forward to another good week at work with a big week of games coming up."
