HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas --  The NOC Enid Jets dropped the opening conference series of the season to National Park 3-1.

The Jets split the first two games of the series Saturday but lost both games Sunday 4-3 and 12-7.

NOC Enid (6-15) fell to 1-3 in conference while National Park (14-7) is 3-1 in league play.

In Game 1, the Jets scored three runs in the sixth but it wasn't enough in a 4-3 loss.

The Jets outhit National Park 7-6.  Blake Scott and Sammy Harris  had two hits each while Marc Turner drove in a run for the Jets.

Thomas Kuykendall went the distance for the Jets allowing two earned runs over six innings.

In Game 2, National Park broke open a 5-5 tie in the fifth inning with one run in the fifth and then three more in the sixth and seventh to win 12-7.

As in Game 1, the Jets out hit National Park 14-12.  Calyn Halvorson and four hits including a home run while Ben Lawson added three hits.  Gavin Haines and Marc Turner had two hits each.  NOC Enid stole 10 bases in Game 2, Lawson had three steals and Turner added two.

Zach Roden started for the Jets with relief help from Dillon Dibrell, Maddux Mayberry, and Brayden Bock.

The Jets travel to South Arkansas for conference double headers Friday and Saturday.
