Jets sweep rival Tonkawa 10-6, 10-8

NOC Enid rebounded from Thursday's loss with a doubleheader sweep of NOC Tonkawa on Saturday in Enid.

In Game 1, the Jets rebounded from an early 5-0 deficit to beat the Mavericks 10-6.

Jhett Creel homered, scored three runs, and drove home a pair while Miles Lock added three hits and two runs batted in.

Cooper Smith added two hits and drove home two runs as well.

Aaron Baker earned the win with three innings of hitless relief, Logan Wade earned the save with a hitless 7th striking out two Maverick hitters.

in Game 2, the Jets built a 9-0 lead and then held on for a 10-8 win.

Cooper Smith had the lone extra base hit, a home run and two runs batted in.

Creel had three hits while Cale Wetwiska, Graham Hylton, and Aydan Voitkek had two hits each.

Wetwiska earned the win allowing one run over five innings.

The Jets (25-11) improved to 12-3 in conference while NOC Tonkawa (25-13) fell to 8-7 in league.

NOC Enid is at Carl Albert on Friday and Saturday for a three game series.
