Jets sweep Vikings, remain in first place

POTEAU, Oklahoma --  The NOC Enid Jets rebounded Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of Carl Albert in Poteau, Oklahoma.

In Game 1, Christian Estep worked six innings allowing one earned run and striking out six.  Logan Wade worked a scoreless 7th to earn the save.  Jets' pitchers allowed five hits and just one walk.

Cale Wetwiska hit a solo home run for the Jets while Brandon Pierre, Cooper Smith, and Kade Goeke had two hits each.  

Smith's sacrifice fly scored Pierre with the go-ahead run in the 5th.

In Game 2, Wetwiska had three hits and two runs batted in at the plate also earned the win on the mound working five innings allowing two runs.

Smith and Gabe Hamilton had two hits each while Owen Tracy had a two run home run in a four run 5th inning.

Wade earned his second save of the day working 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.

The Jets (27-12) improved to 14-4 in league play while Carl Albert (22-15) dropped to 9-9.
