Cooper Smith's walk-off propels Jets

Cooper Smith's walk-off home run to left field gave the NOC Enid Jets a 5-4 win over NWOSU JV Monday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark earning NOC a doubleheader split.

In Game 1, the Jets were outhit 10-5 and lost 5-1.

Miles Lock had two hits for NOC Enid while Brandon Pierre had a triple and stolen base.

Cooper Smith and Jesse Ponce had singles for the Jets.

Corbin Kwan and Blake Limberg worked seven innings for the Jets, Limberg allowed two unearned runs over five innings.

In Game 2, Smith' blast made a winner of Julio Heredia who worked two innings of hitless relief striking out six.

Jhett Creel added two hits including a double and two runs batted in.  Graham Hylton and Jake Wolfinbarger added runs batted in for the Jets.

The Jets (28-13) are at Redlands for a conference game Thursday at 1 p.m.
