NOC to host Chick-Fil-A Classic Tournament at Central National Bank Center

Northern Oklahoma College and Chick-Fil-A have partnered to host the Chick-Fil-A Basketball Classic Nov. 16-17 at the Central National Bank Center in Enid.

Teams include NOC Enid, NOC Tonkawa, Fort Scott (KS), Hesston (KS) women and Ranger (TX) men.

Chick-Fil-A's Connie Sturgeon-Hart said she is pleased to help with the basketball classic.

"Chick-Fil-A tries to be active in the community and we see this as an opportunity to continue that community involvement and at the same time work with NOC," she said.  "We have an outstanding relationship with NOC and are looking forward to working with them on this basketball tournament."

Kevin Boryczki, General Manager of the Enid Event Center & Convention Hall added, "We are excited to be partnering with Northern Oklahoma College to host the Chick-Fil-A Classic at the Central National Bank Center.  There are some great teams participating in this event and we can't wait to watch two great days of basketball."

Dr. Evans is excited for the NOC partnership with the Enid Community.

"NOC is happy to partner with Chick-Fil-A to bring some great college basketball to the CNB Center," Dr. Evans said.    "The community support of our teams and guests always makes for an exciting event."

"Thank you to NOC-Enid, Chick-fil-A and the CNB Center for making this event possible, giving residents another activity to choose from that weekend," Visit Enid director Marcy Jarrett said. "It helps Enid's economy through visiting teams staying in our hotels and eating in our restaurants, and it will bring visitors to Enid for perhaps the first time. We encourage all fans to enjoy a basketball weekend in downtown Enid."

NOC Athletic Director Jeremy Hise added, "We are very excited to partner with great community leaders for this basketball classic.  Chick-Fil-A, the Central National Bank Center and VisitEnid have always been fun to work with.  Without their help, this classic would not be possible.  We have an excellent group of teams and coaches coming to Enid that weekend.  I think basketball fans will be impressed with the quality of competition.  We are hopeful that this will become an annual event that the community will support."

The Central National Bank Center will host eight games over two days.
