The NOC Enid Jets dropped two in the Maverick Classic this weekend, losing to Cowley College and Allen County.
NOC (0-5) hosts Southwest Christian JV Monday.
"Friday we got off to a pretty good start but didn't sustain it," said head coach Aaron Butcher. "We let Cowley go on a big run at the end of the first and a quick 7-0 run to begin the 2nd and it was an uphill battle after that."
"We came back Saturday and I thought our energy was much better," Butcher added. "I thought our half-court defense was solid but we didn't finish possessions and gave up way too many second chance points. Our offense is getting us open shots, we just have to start hitting them. We are making progress and just have to stay focused on getting better each day."
Cowley 83, Jets 68
The Northern Oklahoma College Jets lost to Cowley College 83-68 Friday afternoon at the Maverick Classic in Tonkawa.
NOC Enid (0-4) was led by Tony Hall with 24 and Romio Harvey with 19.
The Jets trailed Cowley 28-25 before the Tigers went on a 13-2 run to take a 41-27 lead.

Allen 90, Jets 74
The NOC Jets led much of the first half before losing to Allen County 90-74 Saturday afternoon in the Maverick Classic.
Romio Harvey led the Jets with 26 points while Tony Hall added 13. Questyn Luckey had 11 while C.J. Jones added 10.
The Jets led 36-35 before Allen scored the final basket of the half and took a 37-36 lead.
Allen then opened the second half on a 19-4 run to take a 56-40 lead.
