Jets lose rivalry game to NOC Tonkawa

The NOC Enid Jets lost Part 1 of the Bedlam battle with NOC Tonkawa 85-64 Wednesday at the Mabee Center.

The Jets (2-10) frustrated the Mavs with a zone defense in the first half but the Mavs went on a late 13-5 run to build a 31-23 halftime lead.

The second half was all Mavs as the NOC Tonkawa built a 48-28 lead early in the second half.

C.J. Jones led the Jets with 15 points while Romio Harvey added 14 and Tony Hall 11.  Eleven of Harvey's 14 came in the second half.

"Defensively in the first half we were pretty solid but still struggled to score," said coach Aaron Butcher.  "In the 2nd half we showed a real lack of mental toughness again. We have got to do a better job of finishing games."

The Jets fell to 1-2 in conference play.
