SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – Tony Hall had 20 points and Rance Kendrick added 14 but it was not enough as NOC Enid lost to NOC Tonkawa 75-54 in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
Thursday's loss ended the Jets season at 12-19.
Playing without starters Romio Harvey and Ray'Shawn Dotson, the Jets were patient offensively and played a zone defense to slow down the Mavs (20-11).
The strategy worked to perfection the first half as the Jets trailed 26-24 but in the early part of the second half, the Mavs went on a 15-0 run to turn a 32-31 lead into a 47-31 advantage.
Hall led the Jets with eight rebounds while Kendrick and Jose Sanchez had four rebounds each.
