In what could have been a comfortable win, the NOC Enid Jets made things interesting Monday night before easing past Western 87-83.
The Jets (13-4) improved to 4-0 in league play.
The Jets led 79-66 before the Pioneers rallied to take an 81-79 lead with 1:59 left. The Jets then rebounded with an 8-2 run over the final two minutes to earn the win.
Jaylon Jackson-Curvey started the late run scoring off a Jet miss to tie the game at 81-81. Raul Nunez then scored on a mid-range jumper to give the Jets an 83-81 lead with :59.6 left.
After the Pioneers tied the game at 83-83, Jordan Thompson hit two free throws with :26.4 to give NOC an 85-83 lead. Caleb Wilson then sealed the win with :03.7 with two free throws and the Jets won 87-83.
Thompson led the Jets with 23 while Nunez added 17 and Wilson 16.
The Jets shot 39% from the floor and 35% from 3-point range.
NOC Enid hosts NEO in another conference game Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
