NOC Slides Into A Blow-Out Win Over Frank Phillips in Game 2

The Lady Jets had everything working on Saturday, winning big over Frank Phillips College 12-4. In the first inning, the Lady Jets got their offense started when Michelle Cewe induced Lexi Vargas to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. NOC pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Kirsten Goodman singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run and Kelli Tucker singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. NOC put up six runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by the Lady Jets was led by Kamber LeforceMarrissa GibsonHarley Smith, and Madi Powell, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Courtney Vaughn earned the win for NOC. She allowed four hits and two runs over two innings, walking zero. Cewe got the start for Frank Phillips. She surrendered 11 runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out one. NOC tallied seven hits on the day. Goodman and Tucker all managed multiple hits for the Lady Jets. Tucker and Goodman both had two hits to lead the team.
