NOC Can't Hold Up Against Connors State

NOC couldn't keep up with Connors State and fell 7-1 on Sunday. The Lady Jets got on the board in the first inning when Kyia Monahwee hit a solo homer. Connors pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Jessica Collins doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs. Mikey Nelson was on the mound for Connors. She allowed two hits and one run over six innings, striking out six. Brooklyn Sparkman started the game for the Lady Jets. She surrendered six runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out six. Courtney Vaughn threw two innings out of the bullpen. Monahwee and Kelsey Gammage each managed one hit to lead NOC. Connors scattered nine hits in the game. Tarin Dubler, Nelson, and Collins all managed multiple hits for Connors. Dubler went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Connors in hits.
