NOC Drops Game 2 To Rose State After Late Score

NOC lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat to Rose State on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with Rose batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored one run. The Lady Jets lost despite out-hitting Rose State 15 to 8. Rose opened up scoring in the first inning. A sacrifice bunt by Kennedy Thomas scored one run for Rose. In the top of the seventh inning, Rose tied things up at five when an error scored one run. The Lady Jets scored four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by NOC was led by Kyia MonahweeLexi Vargas, and Kelli Tucker, all driving in runs in the inning. Matison Worcester led things off on the rubber for Rose State. She surrendered five runs on 15 hits over eight innings, walking one. Lindsi Spring started the game for the Lady Jets. She surrendered six runs on eight hits over eight innings, striking out eight. NOC scattered 15 hits in the game. Kelsey GammageMonahweeTucker, and Vargas each collected multiple hits for the Lady Jets. TuckerMonahwee, and Gammage each collected three hits to lead the team. Rose State collected eight hits on the day. Thomas and Camenda Osborn all managed multiple hits for Rose.
