NOC Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Carl Albert

NOC ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-2 victory over Carl Albert on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with NOC batting in the top of the seventh when Katie McCullar induced Lexi Vargas to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Carl Albert got things moving in the first inning, when Kyla Brown singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. In the top of the fifth inning, the Lady Jets tied things up at two when Brooklyn Sparkman's sac fly scored one run for NOC. Lindsi Spring was credited with the victory for the Lady Jets. She lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out five. McCullar started the game for Carl Albert. She went seven innings, allowing six runs on four hits, striking out seven and walking one. Kaitlyn StarkMadi PowellKelsey Gammage, and Courtlyn Head each collected one hit to lead the Lady Jets.
