NOC Moves To 28-17 (14-10) With Sweep of Eastern

NOC defeated Eastern 5-1 in the second game of a doubleheader to complete sweep. In the first inning, NOC got their offense started when Courtlyn Head was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. The Lady Jets tallied three runs in the third inning. NOC batters contributing to the big inning included Lindsi SpringKirsten Goodman, and Head, all driving in runs in the frame. Brooklyn Sparkman got the win for the Lady Jets. She surrendered one run on eight hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking zero. Amberly Morgan started the game for Eastern. She allowed seven hits and four runs over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. Jasmyn Davis threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. NOC tallied 13 hits on the day. Lexi VargasSpringGoodman, and Kelsey Gammage all managed multiple hits for the Lady Jets. Vargas led the team with four hits in four at bats. Eastern collected eight hits on the day. Kaitlyn Smith and Emily Sharp both collected multiple hits for Eastern. Smith went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Eastern in hits.
