NOC Tallies 11 Hits To Defeat Western 10-2

An early lead helped NOC defeat Western 10-2 on Thursday. NOC scored on a single by Lexi Vargas, a single by Marrissa Gibson, and a home run by Courtlyn Head in the first inning. Lindsi Spring was credited with the victory for the Lady Jets. She went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out seven. Hannah Naylor was on the rubber for Western. She lasted four innings, allowing 11 hits and ten runs while striking out one and walking one. NOC smacked three home runs on the day. Vargas put one out in the fourth inning. Head went for the long ball in the first inning. Brooklyn Sparkman went yard in the second inning. The Lady Jets racked up 11 hits in the game. Vargas and Kyia Monahwee each racked up multiple hits for NOC. Vargas went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Lady Jets in hits.
