The NOC Jets Softball team split a pair of games Monday against Hutchinson.

The Jets (8-8) won the first game 16-15 in a game continued from earlier this season and lost the night cap 4-1.

Jets 16, Hutchinson 15

In a wild conclusion of Game 1, Lauren Ball singled home Mackinzie Simmons in the 7th to walk it off for NOC over Hutchinson 16-15.

Ball had a huge day for the Jets with two home runs, a triple and eight runs batted in.  She also had four hits and scored two runs.

Megan Lee and Jade Strickland also homered for the Jets.  Both had three runs batted in each.

Bailey Gilliam (4-0) was the winner out of the Jets bullpen allowing no earned runs in 3.2 innings of work.

Hutchinson 4, Jets 1

In Game 2, Hutch won 4-1.

NOC averted the shutout when Kelsey Gammage singled home Summer Sorice in the 7th.  Sorice had doubled to start the inning.

Lindsi Spring allowed two earned runs over seven innings of work.
