Jets split with Rose State

The NOC Enid Jets split with Rose State Thursday at Failing Field in Enid.

The Jets (19-29) won the first game 8-1 and lost the night cap to Rose 8-1.  The Jets are 7-19 in league play.

Jets 8, Rose 1

The Jets broke open a 3-1 game with five runs in the 6th inning to beat Rose 8-1.

Courtlyn Head homered while Kelsey Gammage tripled.  Megan Lee had two doubles for the Jets while Kaitlyn Thomas and Mallorie Wilburn had one two-bagger each.

Lee had three runs batted in while Lauren Ball had two runs batted in.

Lindsi Spring (10-14) was the winner in the circle allowing one earned run on six hits.

Rose 8, Jets 1

Rose State broke a 1-1 tie with seven runs in the 9th to earn a split with an 8-1 win.

Jade Strickland's 4th inning double scored Mackenzie Simmons evening the game at 1-1.

The game remained tied until Rose's took the lead in the 9th.

Bailey Gilliam was the tough luck loser allowing three runs in eight innings allowing three runs.

Gammage, Lee, and Strickland all doubled for the Jets.
