PIEDMONT, Oklahoma -- NOC Enid dropped the first round of the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament to Connors 5-0 on Wednesday.

The 6th seeded Jets were outhit by the 3rd seeded Cowgirls 8-4.

Connors jumped out to a 3-0 lead on the Jets in the 1st inning and were never threatened by the Jets.

NOC had four singles, two by Sidney Redmon and one each by Emily Gregory and Yaya Pellett.

Lakelynn Thompson went the distance allowing fiver runs on eight hits.

The Jets (16-35)  face NOC Tonkawa in an elimination game at 11 a.m. Saturday.
