Lady Jets Battle Till the End

Last Thursday the Lady Jets received, and fought hard for, their first conference win of the new year against Redlands with a 74-72 overtime victory.

The Lady Jets came out slow the first half but got the fire started in the second half. As if that wasn't exciting enough, the Lady Jets end the game in overtime by getting fould with .2 on the clock sending Jacie Engler to the line to shoot (and make) 2 free throws to give them the 2 point win.

Leading scorers for the Lady Jets were Sophomore Andi Pierce finishing the game with 27 points and 11 rebounds, followed by Taylor Sylvester with 20 points and also 11 rebounds. Freshman Tanara Combs finished with 13 points, sophomore McKenna Pulley had 8, freshman Euresia Brown had 4 and freshman Jacie Engler finsihed with 2 (very important) free throws.

The Lady Jets play their next conference game on Janurary 15th at home against Eastern. Game time is set at 5:30.
