The NOC Lady Jets (4-2) won two games at the Maverick Classic with wins over Cowley College and Allen County.

Lady Jets 95, Cowley 73

The Northern Oklahoma College Lady Jets scored 31 points in the first quarter en route to a 95-73 win over Cowley College in the first round of the Maverick Classic in Tonkawa Friday afternoon.

Kaylee Hurst led the Lady Jets with 28 points.

Four other Lady Jets reached double figures, Jacie Engler had 14, Macie Jo Pierce 13,  Chelsea Lazenby 13, and Sarah Griswold 10.

The Lady Jets led 57-35 at half and built the lead to 86-56 early in the fourth quarter.

Lady Jets 67, Allen 58

The Northern Oklahoma College Lady Jets jumped out to a 15-0 lead and held on for a 67-58 win over Allen County Saturday afternoon at Foster Piper Fieldhouse in the Maverick Classic.

The win was the Lady Jets fourth straight and improved the Lady Jets to 4-2 on the year.

Sarah Griswold and Chelsea Lazenby led the Lady Jets with 18 points each.  Griswold had 10 points in the first quarter while Lazenby had 11 in the third quarter to spur the Lady Jets.

After building the huge first quarter lead, Allen County battled back to tie the game at half 31-31.

NOC led 53-51 with 6:40 remaining and then finished the game on a 14-7 run.
