NOC Enid Clinches Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Murray State

NOC Enid stole the lead late and defeated Murray State 4-3 on Monday. The game was tied at two with NOC Enid batting in the bottom of the sixth when DJ Calvert homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Murray State got on the board in the second inning. Sam Smith drove in one when he doubled.

NOC Enid evened things up at two in the bottom of the fifth inning. Dylan Caplinger homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Braxton Douthit was the winning pitcher for NOC Enid. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out four and walking one. Lawson Isaacs threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Isaacs recorded the last out to earn the save for NOC Enid.

Alex Clay took the loss for Murray State. He allowed one hit and two runs over one inning, walking one.

Billy Wall started the game for Murray State. He went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three.

NOC Enid launched two home runs on the day. Calvert went deep in the sixth inning. Caplinger went yard in the fifth inning.

Tyler Wood led NOC Enid with two hits in three at bats.

NOC Enid Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning for Victory Over Murray State

NOC Enid snagged a late lead and defeated Murray State 7-5 on Monday. The game was tied at five with NOC Enid batting in the bottom of the sixth when Clayton Peterson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

NOC Enid earned the victory despite allowing Murray State to score three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Murray State was led by Hayden Brown, Sam Smith, and Elvin Rosa, all knocking in runs in the inning.

NOC Enid got things moving in the first inning. NOC Enid scored two runs when Griffin Keller homered.

NOC Enid pulled away for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth an error scored one run for NOC Enid.

Rowdy Reihs earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for NOC Enid. He surrendered five runs on six hits over five and a third innings, striking out three. Cooper Harris and Cade Fulton entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Harris recorded the last six outs to earn the save for NOC Enid.

Cooper Ridgeway took the loss for Murray State. He surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.

NOC Enid socked two home runs on the day. Keller had a four bagger in the first inning. EJ Taylor went for the long ball in the fourth inning.

DJ Calvert led NOC Enid with two hits in four at bats. NOC Enid was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Taylor made the most plays with 13.

Jacob Padilla went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Murray State in hits.
