NOC Enid Can't Quite Erase 10-Run Deficit In Loss To Western OK

NOC Enid fought back after falling down by ten runs in the fifth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 15-14 defeat to Western OK on Wednesday. NOC Enid scored ten runs in the failed comeback. Griffin Keller, Garrett Misenheimer, Tyler Wood, DJ Calvert, Clayton Peterson, and Keller each picked up RBIs.

Keller drove in six runners in the loss. Keller drove in runs on a home run in the fifth and a grand slam in the seventh.

Western OK opened up scoring in the second inning when Matt Golda's sac fly scored one run for Western OK.

Western OK took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Richard Paulino homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

NOC Enid scored six runs in the seventh inning. NOC Enid put the pressure on, lead by a single by Peterson, a home run by Keller, and a groundout by Calvert.

Western OK scored five runs in the fifth inning. Western OK's big inning was driven by home runs by Junior Martina and Juan Paulino and a fielder's choice by Paulino.

Avelito Feliz got the win for Western OK. He allowed nine hits and eight runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven. Iroel Ruiz and Deykel Reyes entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Lawson Isaacs took the loss for NOC Enid. He went three innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking zero.

NOC Enid launched four home runs on the day. Keller had a dinger in the fifth and seventh innings. Calvert put one out in the second inning. EJ Taylor had a long ball in the first inning. Western OK launched four home runs on the day. Martina had a homer in the fifth inning. Paulino went deep in the third inning. Paulino went yard in the fifth and seventh innings.

NOC Enid totaled 14 hits in the game. Calvert, Keller, Misenheimer, and Peterson all collected multiple hits for NOC Enid. Calvert led NOC Enid with three hits in four at bats. NOC Enid was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Matt Conerly had the most chances in the field with six.

Western OK had 18 hits in the game. Caleb Upshaw, Paulino, Cristian Martin, Allan Berrios, Paulino, Golda, and Martina each collected multiple hits for Western OK.

NOC Enid Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Western OK

NOC Enid took the lead late and defeated Western OK 14-10 on Wednesday. NOC Enid trailed 9-7 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Dylan Caplinger homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

NOC Enid was boosted by Caplinger who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Caplinger homered in the second, singled in the sixth, homered in the seventh, and singled in the eighth.

NOC Enid captured the lead in the second inning. Caplinger hit a solo homer.

In the top of the third inning, Western OK tied things up at two when Junior Martina hit a solo homer.

Kaleb McCullough took the win for NOC Enid. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one and walking one. Chris Hansen and Hayden Parker entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Iroel Ruiz took the loss for Western OK. He surrendered three runs on one hit over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two.

Frensly Leito started the game for Western OK. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out one. Jarrett Sweeney started the game for NOC Enid. He went six innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits, striking out four and walking one.

NOC Enid smacked four home runs on the day. Wesley O'Neill had a homer in the seventh and eighth innings. Caplinger had a dinger in the second and seventh innings. Western OK mashed three home runs on the day. Martina put one out in the third inning. Richard Paulino had a dinger in the fifth inning. Caleb Upshaw had a long ball in the fifth inning.
