NOC Enid Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Western OK

NOC Enid stole the lead late and defeated Western OK 4-2 on Thursday. NOC Enid was down 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Dylan Caplinger homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

NOC Enid pulled away for good with two runs in the sixth inning.

Braxton Douthit was the winning pitcher for NOC Enid. He went nine innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out four and walking one.

Marcos Cuenca took the loss for Western OK. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out five.

NOC Enid socked one home run on the day. Caplinger had a homer in the sixth inning.

NOC Enid totaled nine hits. Matt Conerly, Caplinger, and DJ Calvert all managed multiple hits for NOC Enid. Calvert, Caplinger, and Conerly each collected two hits to lead NOC Enid.
