NOC Enid Drops Game to Western OK After Late Score

NOC Enid stayed in it until the end, but Western OK pulled away late in a 6-5 victory on Sunday. The game was tied at five with Western OK batting in the top of the ninth when Edgar Martinez singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

NOC Enid got things started in the second inning when DJ Calvert singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Western OK scored three runs in the fifth inning. Junior Martina, Juan Paulino, and Allan Berrios all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Frensly Leito took the win for Western OK. He lasted three innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out one. Avelito Feliz threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Kaleb McCullough took the loss for NOC Enid. He lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out three and walking one.

NOC Enid racked up 12 hits. Wesley O'Neill, EJ Taylor, and Calvert all managed multiple hits for NOC Enid. Taylor and O'Neill all had three hits to lead NOC Enid.

Western OK scattered 16 hits in the game. Cristian Martin, Paulino, Caleb Upshaw, Matt Golda, Sam Anthony, and Martinez all collected multiple hits for Western OK. Western OK was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Berrios had the most chances in the field with nine.
