The NOC Enid Jets gained revenge over Carl Albert Saturday night with a 6-5 come from behind win advancing the Jets to the Region 2 finals on Sunday against Redlands.
NOC (36-17) must win two games against Redlands Sunday to advance to the NJCAA Division 2 World Series.
NOC built a 4-0 lead but Carl Albert rallied for two runs in the 7th and three runs in the 8th to take a 5-4 lead.
The Jets then rallied in the 8th as Alec Buonasera doubled with one out. Ethan Williams, running for Buonasera, advanced to third on a single by Dylan Caplinger. Williams and Caplinger then scored giving the Jets a 6-5 lead when the Viking first baseman made an errant throw home on a ground ball off the bat of Garrett Misenheimer.
Wyatt Sellers (3-0) did the rest shutting down the Vikings in the 9th inning.
NOC built a 2-0 first inning lead when DJ Calvert scored on a Tanner Neely single and then EJ Taylor scored on an error. Brendon Woelfle's 5th inning single scored Matt Henderson and then Buonasera hit a solo shot in the 6th to give NOC a 4-0 lead.
Carl Albert then rallied for five runs in the 7th and 8th to take a 5-4 lead.
The Jets lost to Carl Albert 8-0 Friday night dropping the Jets to the consolation bracket. Saturday night's loss ended Carl Albert's season.
