Jets drop two to Hutchinson (KS)

The NOC Enid Jets dropped a doubleheader Saturday to Hutchinson (KS) Community College at David Memorial Ballpark.

The Jets (1-5) were limited to just five hits in the two games.

NOC Enid dropped the first game 10-0 and lost the nightcap 1-0.

"We took game one right on the chin and had to bounce back quick in game two, it was a tale of two games," said Jets coach Scott Mansfield.  "We need to start building on the good and minimizing our mistakes.  Once again, a chance to grow and learn."

In Game 1, the Dragons used a six run fourth inning to break open a scoreless game leading to a 10-0 win.

Cale Savage had the lone NOC Enid hit.

Evan Kowalski allowed six runs in 3.2 innings.

In Game 2, the Jets dropped a tough 1-0 decision with Hutchinson scoring the game's only run in the fourth.

Brandon Hudson took the loss allowing one run over four innings.  Alex Smith and Trent Ritter allowed no runs on one hit out of the Jets' bullpen.

Ambren Voitik, Connor Thaxton, Matthew Henderson, and Shane Nixon had singles for the Jets.
