Jets walk it off against NIACC

In a wild one on Tuesday, the NOC Enid Jets rallied from six runs down in the 9th inning and then won the game in walk off fashion in the 10th.

Brandon Lees provided the game winner singling home Shane Nixon with the game winner in the 10th.

NOC is now 8-10 on the year.

"Today was a complete team win," said coach Scott Mansfield.  "Faced adversity in all phases of the game, won some of those adverse moments, lost some but never once stopped competing. That's the big takeaway from today's game, toughness and grit and finding a way to win a ball game."

In an oddity, the Jets had 14 hits but all were singles.

Nixon had three hits while Connor Thaxton, Alec Buonasera, and Gage Ninness had two hits each.

Thaxton, Nixon, and Matt Henderson had two runs batted in each.

In the 9th inning rally, the Jets sent 11 men to the plate.

Ethan Wayland earned the win in relief, getting the final out in the 10th.
