Kowalski signs with ORU

NOC Enid Jets pitcher Evan Kowalski signed with Oral Roberts University, coach Scott Mansfield announced this week.

Kowalski is a right-handed pitcher from Guthrie.

"Evan is going to a top program that has produced a lot of top pitching and I think he will continue to follow that trend," Mansfield said.  "His freshman campaign was cut short to injury and then his sophomore season was taken away to unprecedented circumstances, will be interested to see how well he does with a full season."

Mansfield reflected on this NOC Enid sophomore group.

"This group is going to be remembered as part of the best two-year recruiting classes we've seen in Enid because they were able to achieve heights that we only hope to return to," Mansfield said.

"These guys were successful on the field and will continue to be successful there but they will also continue to be successful in the classroom and more importantly, life," Mansfield added.  "I appreciate their contribution to this program and myself and wish them the absolute best and wish them unbelievable success moving forward, love every one of these young men."
