NOC Enid Jets pitcher Ethan Wayland recently signed with UCO.

Wayland is from Purcell.

"Ethan missed his freshman campaign with an injury but focused on his school and worked hard where he could and in a limited sample size with his 2020 season, showed really well and has been given a great opportunity in Edmond," said Jets coach Scott Mansfield.  "Going to be fun following his growth."

Mansfield was very proud of this 2020 sophomore group.

"This group is going to be remembered as part of the best two-year recruiting classes we've seen in Enid because they were able to achieve heights that we only hope to return to," he said.   "These guys were successful on the field and will continue to be successful there but they will also continue to be success in the classroom and more importantly, life. Appreciate their contribution to this program and myself and wish them the absolute best and wish them unbelievable success moving forward. Love everyone of these young men."
