The NOC Enid Jets suffered their first loss in the Plains District Tournament 11-10 in 10 innings to South Arkansas Saturday night in Enid.

The Jets (28-30) face the Western-Murray winner at noon Sunday in an elimination game.  If the Jets win, they would play at 3 p.m. against South Arkansas.

NOC Enid started the scoring in the first inning as Brayden Bock and Ty Chapman had run scoring singles.

After South Ark took a 4-2 lead, the Jets tied the game at 4-4 as Bock's home run scored Sammy Harris.

South Ark then scored five runs in the fourth but the Jets rallied for four runs in the seventh to cut the lead to 9-8.

Harris, Holden Yoder, and Kade Goeke had key hits in the inning.

In the meantime, Jet reliever Gunner Phillips worked four scoreless innings to key the Jet rally.

The Jets tied the game 9-9 in the eighth as Owen Tracy scored on a Nathan Gutierrez ground out.

NOC Enid then took the lead in the 10th as Harris singled home Gutierrez but Evan Casey was out at home to end the inning.

South Ark then scored the game winner on a two-run home run to end the game.

Josh Rains, Phillips, and Jesse Slimp worked from the mound for the Jets.
