Jets outlast NEO in overtime, extend streak to five

MIAMI, Oklahoma --  The NOC Enid Jets won their fifth straight with an 86-82 overtime win at NEO.

The Jets (10-3) improved to 8-2 in league play.  NEO (8-6) fell to 4-5 in league games.

Jalen Stamps led the Jets with 28 while Noah Jordan added 19 and Ikenna Okeke 12.

The Jets jumped out to an early lead taking a 35-25 lead at half.

"First half we made shots, we went 6-13 from 3-point range," said coach Chris Gerber.  "Some of those 3-pointers were good offense but the majority was because we made shots. That had me worried at halftime. We knew NEO would make a run and they did, and we made a lot of mental mistakes to let them back in."

"But when our back was against the wall, players stayed poise and executed and made winning plays," Gerber said.  "It was a grind and a tough win, glad we were able to come out with a huge road win."

The Jets are off until Saturday when they travel to Connors for a 4 p.m. tip.

Connors is 7-3 in conference play, one game behind the Jets.
