Jets lose semi-final thriller to Western

MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma --  The NOC Enid Jets came from 25 points down in the second half but the rally fell just short in a 99-97 loss to Western in the NJCAA Region 2 Semi-Finals at Muskogee.

The loss ended the season at 22-10.

Western mde 11 3-pointers in the first half building a 56-32 lead over the Jets at half.  Cahlese Lee kept the Jets in the game with 12 first half points.

Down 63-38, the Jets then started the comeback and the slowly cut into the Pioneer lead.

NOC cut the lead to 79-69 with 9:43 left and then 91-89 with 2:20 left.  After Western increased the lead to 94-91, the Jets used a Jordan Thompson 3-pointer and two Daylon Andrews free throws to tie the game 94-94.

After two Western free throws gave the Pioneers a 96-94 lead, Ryan Kelly drilled a 3-pointer from the corner giving the Jets a 97-96 lead with :27 left.

Western then took the lead with an offensive rebound putback and sealed the win with a late free throw.

Keivon Hudson led the Jets with 20 while PJ Twa added 15.  Cahlese Lee, Daylon Andrews, and Raul Nunez had 13 each and Jordan Thompson added 12.
