Late Score Costs NOC Against NEO

Thursday's game against NEO was a heartbreaker for the NOC Lady Jets, as they lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat. The game was tied at three with NEO batting in the top of the eighth when Gracie Garman's sac fly scored one run for NEO. Olivia Prather toed the rubber for NEO. She went eight innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out five. Lindsi Spring toed the rubber for the Lady Jets. She allowed six hits and four runs over eight innings, striking out eight. NOC hit two home runs on the day. Spring went yard in the seventh inning. Brooklyn Sparkman had a homer in the fourth inning. Sparkman led NOC with two hits in four at bats. NEO racked up six hits. Karissa Marshall and Mikaela Workman all had multiple hits for NEO.
