NOC Nabs Win Over Murray St. Despite Early 3-Run Inning

Murray State scored three runs in the third inning, but NOC still won 10-3 in Game 1 on Saturday. Karly Kothe and Brayden Tisdale each drove in runs during the inning. The Lady Jets fired up the offense in the first inning. NOC scored one run when Kyia Monahwee singled. Courtney Vaughn was credited with the victory for the Lady Jets. She went two and a third innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking zero. Lindsi Spring threw four and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Mckenzie Smith toed the rubber for Murray. She surrendered eight runs on eight hits over three innings, striking out two and walking zero. Ashlynn Robinson threw three innings out of the bullpen.
