FT. SCOTT Kansas --  NOC split a pair of games Saturday at Ft. Scott (KS) beating North Iowa 9-7 and losing to Iowa Western 8-0.

In Game 1, the Jets raced out to a 9-5 lead and held on for a 9-7 win over North Iowa.

NOC jumped out to a 4-1 lead and after North Iowa tied the game at 4-4, NOC scored five runs over the 5th and 6th to take a 9-5 lead eventually winning 9-7.

Adie White homered for the Jets while Yaya Pellett and Sidney Redmon had two hits each.  Tylie Ligons tripled for the Jets and drove in two runs.

Aly Nash worked seven innings in the circle allowing seven runs on eight hits.

In Game 2, the Jets were outhit 8-2 in losing 8-0.

Ligons had two hits and a stolen base for the Jets.

Lakelynn Thompson and Aubrey Williams worked in the circle for the Jets in Game 2.

The Jets (7-5) are at Hesston (KS) on Monday at 1 p.m./3 p.m.
