Thompson dominant in 1-0 Jets win over NOC Tonkawa

The NOC Enid Jets played two one-run games Monday against NOC Tonkawa winning Game 1, 1-0 and dropping Game 2, 7-6.

NOC Enid (16-32) is 6-16 in league while NOC Tonkawa (11-33) is 3-21 in conference.  The Jets won three of the four regular season games.

In Game 1, Lakelynn Thompson was dominant allowing just two hits over seven innings striking out nine.  Things got a little hairy in the 7th as Thompson stranded the bases loaded to end the game.

Adie White drove in Sidney Redman in the 1st inning with the games only run.

In Game 2, the Jets trailed 5-1 early and rallied to within one run in two occasions but lost 7-6.

Thompson had three hits including a home run and four runs batted in.  Redmond had two hits and an rbi while Emily Gregory drove in one run.

Aly Nash worked all seven innings allowing seven runs on 12 hits.

The Jets host Connors on Thursday in the final regular season games for 2024.
