Lady Jets outlast NOC Tonkawa 76-64

The NOC Lady Jets won their 10th straight Wednesday night with an 86-74 win over NOC Tonkawa the Mabee Center.

The Lady Jets (10-2) improved to 3-0 in conference play.

NOC Enid was led by Jacie Engler with 18 while Mo Tramble and Chelsea Lazenby added 16 points each and Sarah Griswold 15.

While happy with the win, coach Scott Morris sees plenty of room for improvement.

"I was disappointed in our ability to execute offensively," he said.  "But you have to give Tonkawa credit for battling the way they did.  There were some weaknesses that got exploited.  We're already addressing those things so I think today made us better.  We feel fortunate to have gained one of those 'learning experiences' and still get out of there with a win."

On several occasions NOC Enid would build a nice advantage over the Lady Mavs and then NOC Tonkawa would battle back to within nine points.  That happened in the third and fourth quarters of Wednesday's game.

The Lady Jets hit 12 3-pointers against the Lady Mavs.
