Freshman Shelby Black hit two late 3-pointers leading the #23 Lady Jets to a 57-54 win over Connors in the Mabee Center Thursday night.

NOC Enid (13-3) improved to 4-1 in conference play while Connors (17-3) fell to 4-2 in OCAC action.

Black led the Lady Jets with 27 points, hitting five 3-pointers.

The Lady Jets trailed 40-38 starting the final period with the Cowgirls building a 54-49 lead with 2:31 remaining.

Black then went to work drawing a charge and then hitting the two 3-pointers to give NOC a 55-54 lead.  The Lady Jets then sealed the win with a late steal converted by Tanara Combs into a layup as time expired.

"We didn't have a lot going but Shelby (Black) really picked us up late with two big shots," said coach Scott Morris.  "We then got some key stops down the stretch.  It was a good team win.  We're still learning some things on both ends."
