NOC Enid Jets' Lauren Wade is a returnee for the 2020-21 season.

Wade is a sophomore center from Marlow High School in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Why did you choose NOC?  I loved the sense of community and it was also a faith based program.

What is your major and what are your career goals?  Nursing, I plan to be a traveling nurse.

What are the challenges in balancing academics and athletics?  The challenge of time management and not putting assignments and other things to the last minute.

What life experiences have helped you in college athletics?  The Covid-19 Pandemic because it shut down all sports and it made me realize how blessed I am to play the sport I love.

What is different about college and high school athletics? In college athletics it is a more level playing field because everyone is good at what they do.

What advice would you give high school athletics in choosing a college or university?  Find a program, activity, and/or sport to get involved in at college.

What do you do in your spare time? Spend time with family and friends.
