Jet Basketball Profile:  Hollie Wood

NOC Enid Jets' Hollie Wood is a returnee for the 2020-21 season.

Wood is a sophomore guard from Pryor High School in Pryor, Oklahoma.

Why did you choose NOC? I initially chose NOC because of Coach Scott Morris and after my visit I also loved how welcoming the team was to me.

What is your major and what are your career goals?  My major is Mass Communication and I plan to obtain an Associates Degree at NOC Enid and eventually earn a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication.

What are the challenges in balancing academics and athletics?  The challenges in balancing academics and athletics at NOC are learning to be efficient with your time and finding a good balance between them both.

What life experiences have helped you in college athletics? Life experiences that have helped me in college athletics are my parents making me work because it helped me learn to work with different people and adapt to different situations.

What is different about college and high school athletics?  The speed of the game.

What advice would you give high school athletics in choosing a college or university? The advice I would give a high school student in choosing a college or university is go where you obtain the most scholarship and where you are happy.

What do you do in your spare time?  I am usually doing homework, hanging with my team, or spending time with family and friends.
