ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas – The Northern Oklahoma College Lady Jets dropped their road opener to Cowley College 68-62 in Arkansas City, Kansas, Monday night.

NOC (1-1) was led by Aleisha Hester with 19 points.  Averi Zinn also reached double figures with 11 points while Tegan Jones and Elizabeth Simpson added 10 points each.

Simpson led the Lady Jets with 13 rebounds and four assists.

Monday's game was close throughout as Cowley (4-0) led 13-12 after the first quarter and 30-26 at half.  NOC cut the Cowley lead to 49-46 heading into the fourth but Cowley made a run building the lead to as many as nine points in the final period.

NOC Enid hosts Butler (KS) Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Mabee Center for the home opener.
