SHAWNEE, Oklahoma --  The NOC Enid Lady Jets saw their season end Thursday at the hands of NOC Tonkawa 72-69 in the NJCAA Region 2 Quarterfinals at OBU in Shawnee.

The Lady Jets led NOC Tonkawa 58-49 heading to the final period but the Lady Mavs outscored the Lady Jets 23-11 in the fourth to earn the 72-69 win.

The Lady Jets last lead came on two Jade Hazelbaker free throws with :56.3 making the score 69-68.  The Lady Mavs took the lead on two free throws by Jordan Holman and then built a 72-69 lead on two free throws by Shelby Rayner.

That would be enough as NOC Tonkawa held off the Lady Jets on the last possession.

LaKysia Johnson led the Lady Jets with 17 points while Aleisha Hester added 15 and Jade Hazelbaker 11.

Hester added 10 rebounds and four assists while Tegan Jones had four assists and Libbi Zinn four steals.

NOC Enid shot 33% (20-60) from the floor and 79% 26-33) from the line.  The Lady Mavs shot 32% (25-77) from the floor and 65% (13-20) from the line.  NOC Tonkawa won the rebounding battle 52-45.  

The Lady Jets led the Lady Mavs 36-31 at half.  LaKysia Johnson led the Lady Jets with 10 first half points.

The Lady Jets swept the season series over the Lady Mavs.
