NOC Enid played a fantastic first half but couldn't hold on in a 68-61 loss to #7 Butler Friday in the Lady Jets Classic.

Ashlan Light led the Lady Jets with 18 points while Katie Edelen added 15.

After the first quarter ended in a 17-17 tie, the Lady Jets then went on a 21-6 run in the second quarter to build a 38-23 halftime edge.

The Grizziles then opened the third quarter with an 18-0 run to take a 41-38 lead in the third quarter.

NOC Enid cut the lead to 51-49 before Butler countered with an 8-0 run to build the lead back to 59-49.

The Lady Jets would make one final run outscoring Butler 5-0 cutting the lead to 64-59 with 2:11 left but NOC Enid would get no closer in the 68-61 loss.

Saturday's game against Garden City was canceled, NOC Enids' next game is at Butler on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
